This is Bits and Bobs a character featured in Legoland Mythica’s new ride, the flight of the sky lion. Bits and Bobs is a New realistic meet and great character at Legoland resort Windsor, and you can meet him and find out all about him in their new Mythica land.
Legoland Mythica is a new world where Lego creations can come to life by going through a magical portal.
thes are a rebuild of some puppets previously created in order match the altered design of how Bits and Bobs ended up appearing in the 3d movie. I built 2 identical bits and bobs puppets for Legoland mythica. he features a mechanised head built by Adam Keenan Animatronics, and has custom made eyes, he has silicone nose and face features, and has a fake arm illusion. He also features sounds and noises. building for theme parks is a a fun challenge, as the characters and puppets take very hard wearing. used daily often in outdoor settings with close contact with thousands of park guests, can take its toll on any puppet or mascot and when building you have to find ways to mitigate that level of use.
About Me:
I am a professional puppet maker and creature creator. Also I design, illustrate, sculpt and fabricate. I have a performance background as both an actor and puppeteer. So when I develop characters and build puppets I always approach the project from the point of view of the performer. Due to this I strive to build characters that are engaging and believable, whilst making them a joy to perform. Allowing the puppeteer to get the maximum and most versatile performance out of them.
