Mr Flappy Balls

This is  Flappy the Puppet for a personal project this time. Im working with friends of mine who run a gay mens health charity that explores the implications and complications of some of the riskier sexual practices in parts of the LGBTQ+ community.  The concept of the project is to create funny, accessible content that has an educational purpose but doesn’t preach. think avenue Q meat Mongrels. This is a concept puppet, Featuring poseable ears and blinking eyes that can work independently for some good comic expressions. We are hoping we can launch funding from this concept to have a much greater scope for the project.

About Me:

I am a professional puppet maker and creature creator. Also I design, illustrate, sculpt and fabricate. I have a performance background as both an actor and puppeteer. So when I develop characters and build puppets I always approach the project from the point of view of the performer. Due to this I strive to build characters that are engaging and believable, whilst making them a joy to perform. Allowing the puppeteer to get the maximum and most versatile performance out of them. I have worked in puppets and creature FX for a number of years; spanning TV, Film, theatre and online mediums.
