Swumpy artwork I created as a thank you card. I didnt design Swumpy, this is just a piece of art I created as a thank you to the cast and crew.  This was made for when we finished filming series 1. I did more Swumpy artwork through season 2 which is shall release here soon.

Swumpy is a central character in the new CBBC comedy show Pickle Storm. I was one of the core memebers of the small team that built him at Millennium FX, I was there as the puppet specialist and focused on all the fucntional fabrication, and then later help wiht the art finishing. My job on Pickle Storm didnt end there, i was the Puppeteer who plays the mischievous swumpy in the entire series and again for Series 2 which will launch 2025.  I was head of puppets and respnsible for all puppetry, puppet direction, on set wrangling and maintenence, and all of his costumes and props etc. Series 1 launches lat 2024 on CBBC and Iplayer. Series 2 later in 2025.

About Me:

Chris Barlow Puppets and Creatures is a Ltd Company. I design, illustrate, sculpt and fabricate creating engaging characters for TV, film, theme parks, resorts and theatre. I have a performance background as both an actor and puppeteer. So when I develop characters and build puppets I always approach the project from the point of view of the performer. Due to this I strive to build characters that are engaging and believable, whilst making them a joy to perform. Allowing the puppeteer to get the maximum and most versatile performance out of them.
